**My thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by Sandy. It’s hard to imagine that just 3 days ago I was at this party, enjoying an adult Howloween good time when today I can’t stop thinking about those in need. ***

Our children get to play dress up whenever they want. They love it. Trying on different identities, pretending to be something they’re not.
We big kids only get to do it on Halloween. Well, most of us only do it on Halloween. And here’s me, pretending to be an 80′s band groupie at a Halloween party Saturday night.
Sometimes stepping outside of your comfort zone is exciting. But stepping back into it is pretty great too.
And next week, I’ll share what the psychics told me about my life.

Yeah, stepping back into it IS comforting! You go, rockin’ the 80′s!
Looks like you had fun!
We had a throwback day at school last year in celebration of the school’s 85th birthday. My 80′s costume is always my go-to. What was scary was that to eighty-fy my girl, I only had to put together things from her closet…it’s coming back!
So awesome!! Loved the 80s and you represent well!!
Um, the 80′s hair-band groupies usually were doing something with their mouths instead of singing into gold-plated microphones….
Um, my husband said the same thing. But I do think I captured how 80s hair band singers would sing into the mike – and that was my goal!
That picture is SO awesome. You need to blow it up and make it your new profile shot. LOVE IT.
You so rocked this.
I had the chance to see Springsteen tonight or stay home and watch my kid and his buddies trick or treat. Can you believe I dissed Bruce?
Also the tickets were $75. So.
That’s mom of the year material there!
My 10 year old is mortified with a capital MORTIFIED over my look that night. Cracking me up . . .
That’s a pretty good costume! I think you need more hair spray though to get some height on all that crimped hair! LOL!
Sadly, I realized after doing my whole head that finger combing it, picking it or trying to “big it up” at all turned the crimp into frizz, so I had to go with it. Because yes, I wanted it to be HUGE – like twice the size of my head big.
You rock that 80s groupie look, girl!
Saying you look awesome does not do you justice. I can’t wait to hear what the psychic said!
You rock! You should pull this look out more often cause 80′s groupies ain’t got nothing on you! Perhaps this can be your new profile pic?
WOW!!! Look at you! You are totally rockin’ the 80′s look!!!!!!
I agree with Rach, stepping back in is comforting. I LOVE the photo!
This is just awesome. That is all.
I thought I was looking at Avril Lavigne’s cousin when I first saw your picture . You totally rock !
Looking forward for next week’s post .
LOVE it!!!
How fun! You totally rocked this outfit.
Pure fabulousness.
Awesome!
LOVE the costume
Great photo too!
Something tells me you were singing something other than “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”…although your hair, makeup & clothes had star power enough!
I was singing along every song with the band – like a true groupie does!
